Shri Shri 1008 Baldev Ji Temple is located in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, it is a very famous temple. In this temple, the grand statue of Lord Baldev Ji, the elder brother of Lord Shri Krishna, is installed. The statue of Lord Baldev Ji is made of Shaligram stone.
This temple is different from all the temples of Hindu religion, the design of this temple is in Roman Catholic style, which looks like a church from a distance. There are tall pillars in this temple complex, whose grandeur is worth seeing. The pavilion of Baldev Ji temple is very high. Its grandeur is worth seeing. There are big chandeliers installed in the temple complex, which look very beautiful. Maharani Laxmibai High School is present in the Baldev Ji temple complex of Panna district, many boys and girls come here to receive education.
The office of Nagar Palika Parishad is located in front of the temple complex and Govind Ji temple is very close to Baldev Ji temple. Chhatrasal Park is near Baldev Ji temple.
The construction of this temple was started by Maharaj Shri Rudra Pratap Singh in 1933 which was completed in 1936. The map of Baldev Ji temple was made by Italian engineer Mr. Metley, who was the state engineer of Maharaj Rudra Pratap Singh at that time. Baldev Ji temple is a combination of Indian and foreign styles. The structure of this temple looks like St. Paul’s Church of London from outside. The king built this temple to protect the farmers of his state and in their honor.
Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh went to Vrindavan to get the grand idol of this temple and brought the Shaligram idol of Lord Baldev Ji from there and installed it in the temple. The most special thing about this temple is that almost all the things here are 16 in number, such as the number of stairs on the upper platform of the temple is 16, there are also 16 windows, 16 domes, 16 pavilions and 16 pillars. Which makes it a unique temple among all the temples. This temple has been included in the archaeological heritage of the state.
A prasad shop is also available outside the temple. If you want to take prasad, you can take it. Parking is available in front of the temple. You can park your vehicle there. If you come here by scooty or bike, then it will be good for you, because there is not a big parking space here. Therefore, you may have to park the vehicle on the main road itself.
How to reach Baldev Ji Temple: To reach Baldev Ji Temple, first you have to reach Panna district, Panna district, you can come to Khajuraho by plane from Jhansi, Delhi, Jabalpur and other cities, then from there you can reach the temple by bus, car or auto.
By road, you will get buses from Chhatarpur, Satna, Katni and Banda at all times, if you have to come by train, then you can reach Baldev Ji Temple by bus from Khajuraho or Chhatarpur railway station or Satna, Katni railway station.

श्री श्री 1008 बलदेव जी का मंदिर मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना जिले मे स्थित है, यह बहुत ही प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। इस मंदिर में भगवान श्री कृष्ण के बड़े भाई प्रभु बलदेव जी की भव्य प्रतिमा विराजमान है। भगवान बलदेव जी की प्रतिमा शालिग्राम की शिला से बनी हुई है।
यह मंदिर सभी हिंदु धर्म के मंदिर से अलग है, इस मंदिर का डिजाइन रोमन कैथोलिक स्टाइल मे है जो कि दूर से देखने पर चर्च के समान लगता है इस मंदिर परिसर मे ऊँचे उचे पिलर है जिसकी भव्यता देखते ही बनती है। बलदेव जी मंदिर का मंडप बहुत ही ऊँचा है। जिसकी भव्यता देखते ही बनती है मंदिर परिसर मे बड़े-बड़े झुमर लगे हुए है जो देखने मे बहुत सुन्दर लगते है। महारानी लक्ष्मीबाई हाईस्कूल पन्ना जिले के बलदेव जी मन्दिर परिसर मे मौजूद है, यहां पर बहुत सारे लड़के और लड़कियाँ शिक्षा ग्रहण करने आते है।
मंदिर परिसर के सामने नगर पालिका परिषद का कार्यालय स्थित है और बलदेव जी मंदिर के बिलकुल पास मे ही गोविन्द जी का मंदिर है। बलदेव जी मंदिर के पास में ही छत्रसाल पार्क है।
इस मंदिर का निर्माण कार्य सन् 1933 में महाराज श्री रुद्र प्रताप सिंह ने शुरू कराया जो 1936 में पूर्ण हो गया, बलदेव जी मंदिर का नक्शा इटली के इंजीनियर मिस्टर मेतले ने बनाया था, जो कि उस समय महाराज रुद्र प्रताप सिंह के राज्य के इंजीनियर थे। बलदेव जी का मंदिर भारतीय तथा विदेशी शैली का समावेश है। इस मंदिर की बनावट, बाहर से लंदन के सेंट पॉल चर्च जैसी लगती है। इस मंदिर का निर्माण राजा ने अपने राज्य के किसानो की रक्षा के लिए और उनके सम्मान में बलदेव जी मंदिर का निर्माण कराया था।
इस मंदिर की भव्य प्रतिमा को महाराजा रुद्र प्रताप सिंह वृंदावन गए और वहाँ से प्रभु बलदेव जी की शालिग्राम की प्रतिमा को ले आए और मंदिर में स्थापित कराया था। इस मंदिर की सबसे खास बात यह कि यहा पर लगभग सभी चीजों की संख्या 16 है जैसे कि मंदिर की उच्ची जगत पर सीढ़ियाँ की संख्या 16, झरोखे भी 16, 16 गुम्बद, और 16 मंडप तथा 16 स्तंभ है। जो कि इसे सभी मंदिरो मे से अनूठा मंदिर बनाता है। यह मंदिर राज्य की पुरातात्विक धरोहर में शामिल किया गया है।
मंदिर के बाहर प्रसाद की दुकान भी मिल जाती है। आप प्रसाद लेना चाहते हैं, तो प्रसाद ले सकते हैं। मंदिर के सामने पार्किंग मिल जाती हैं। आप वहां पर गाड़ी खड़ी कर सकते हैं। यहां पर अगर आप स्कूटी या बाइक से आएंगे, तो वह आपके लिए अच्छा रहेगा, क्योंकि यहां पर ज्यादा बड़ी पार्किंग की जगह नहीं है। इसलिए आपको मेन रोड में ही गाड़ी खड़ी करनी पड़ सकती है।
बलदेव जी मंदिर कैसे पहुचे: बलदेव जी मंदिर आने के लिए पहले आपको पन्ना जिला पहुंचना होगा, पन्ना जिला आप झांसी, दिल्ली, जबलपुर अन्य शहरों से हवाई जहाज से खजुराहो आ सकते है फिर वहां से बस, कार या आटो से मंदिर पहुंचा जा सकता है।
सड़क मार्ग से आप छतरपुर, सतना, कटनी और बांदा से आपको हर समय बस मिल जायेगा अगर आप ट्रेन से आना है तो आपको खजुराहो या छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन या फिर सतना, कटनी रेलवे स्टेशन से बस के द्वारा आप बलदेव जी मंदिर पहुंच सकते है।
