The meeting place of Shri Ram and Agastya Muni Siddhnath Ashram located in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh is the place where Lord Shri Ram, who was on his exile, met Agastya Muni. Ram spent a long time in this ashram. Many signs related to Lord Ram are still present in this ashram. Panna district, famous for its grand and unique temples, has history scattered everywhere. There is a whole series of natural scenic places here, yet tourists are not seen in this area. Despite countless advantages of tourism development, this area has not been developed. If the heritage of this region is preserved and brought on the tourism map, then new employment opportunities can be created here. To attract tourists, there are unique temples from the sixth century to the eleventh century. The architecture of these temples is worth seeing. Siddhnath temple of Panna district is one of those whose architecture is in no way less than Khajuraho. It is worth mentioning that about 60 km from the district headquarters Panna. This unique place situated far away is known as Agastya Muni Ashram. The remains of ancient temples and rare idols are scattered here and there in this entire area, no initiative has been taken to preserve them till date. The craftsmanship of the Siddhnath temple of Panna district is worth seeing. Situated on the banks of the Gudne river surrounded by high mountains, this place must have once had a whole series of temples. The remains of temples scattered far and wide and the stones decorated with unique carvings are visible everywhere here. This shows that there must have been huge temples here once. At present, only one temple of that period exists here, which is known as the Siddhnath temple. Archaeologists say that the area within a radius of about 15 km around Saleha is very important from the archaeological point of view. There is also a place called Nachne in this area, where there is a Gupta period temple.

श्रीराम और अगस्त मुनि का मिलन स्थल मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना जिले में स्थित सिद्धनाथ आश्रम वह स्थान है. जहां वनवास पर निकले प्रभु श्रीराम की मुलाकात अगस्त्य मुनि से हुई थी. इस आश्रम में राम ने लंबा समय बिताया था. इस आश्रम में आज भी भगवान राम से जुड़ी कई निशानियां मौजूद है. भव्य और अनूठे मन्दिरों के लिए प्रसिद्ध पन्ना जिले में हर तरफ इतिहास विखरा पड़ा है। प्राकृतिक मनोरम स्थलों की तो यहां पूरी श्रंखला है फिर भी इस इलाके में सैलानी नजर नहीं आते। पर्यटन विकास की अनगिनत खूबियों के बावजूद इस क्षेत्र को विकसित नहीं किया गया। यदि इस अंचल की धरोहरों को सहेजकर उन्हें पर्यटन के नक्शे पर लाया जाय तो यहां रोजगार के नये अवसर सृजित हो सकते हैं। सैलानियों को आकर्षित करने के लिए यहां पर छठवीं शताब्दी से लेकर ग्यारहवीं शताब्दी तक के अनूठे मन्दिर मौजूद हैं। इन मन्दिरों की स्थापत्य कला देखते ही बनती है। पन्ना जिले का सिद्धनाथ मन्दिर उनमें से एक है जिसकी शिल्पकला किसी भी मायने में खजुराहो से कम नहीं है. उल्लेखनीय है कि जिला मुख्यालय पन्ना से लगभग 60 किमी. दूर स्थित यह अनूठा स्थल अगस्त मुनि आश्रम के नाम से विख्यात है. इस पूरे परिक्षेत्र में प्राचीन मन्दिरों व दुर्लभ प्रतिमाओं के अवशेष जहां – तहां बिखरे पड़े हैं, जिन्हें संरक्षित करने के लिए आज तक कोई पहल नहीं हुई. पन्ना जिले के सिद्धनाथ मन्दिर की शिल्प कला देखने योग्य है, ऊंची पहाडिय़ों से घिरे गुडने नदी के किनारे स्थित इस स्थान पर कभी मन्दिरों की पूरी श्रंखला रही होगी. मन्दिरों के दूर – दूर तक बिखरे पड़े अवशेष तथा बेजोड़ नक्कासी से अलंकृत शिलायें, यहां हर तरफ दिखाई देती है. जिससे प्रतीत होता है कि यहां कभी विशाल मन्दिर रहे होंगे. मौजूदा समय उस काल का यहां पर सिर्फ एक मन्दिर मौजूद है जिसे सिद्धनाथ मन्दिर के नाम से जाना जाता है. पुराविदों का कहना है कि सलेहा के आसपास लगभग 15 किमी. के दायरे वाला क्षेत्र पुरातात्विक दृष्टि से अत्यधिक महत्वपूर्ण है. इसी क्षेत्र में नचने नामक स्थान भी है यहां पर गुप्त कालीन मन्दिर है.
Visit Panna National Park
