Vaishno Mata Mandir is a grand temple of Mata on a high hill near a village named Sungraha in Shahnagar tehsil. If you want to visit Vaishno Mata Mandir, then you have to walk for 1 km from the entrance of the temple, there is dense forest all around the walking path.
This is also a good picnic spot which fills the journey with adventure. To visit Mata Vaishno Mandir, one has to climb about 500 stairs. After completing the walking path, there is a climb of some stairs, then a rocky path with a slope where you have to walk a little slowly.
The entire journey will have to pass through dense and peaceful forest, after the path with a slope there is a steep climb of stairs, after finishing the climb and reaching the top, the view below is worth seeing. A very beautiful natural view is seen when you look down from the top of the hill surrounded by dense forests.
There is a very big pond near the hill, which looks like a lake when seen from the hill. Here you can also get different types of photographs taken.
When you look down from the hill, it seems like fog and the surrounding forests, fields and houses look very small. The hill of Mata Vaishno Devi temple is full of amazing natural beauty.
On the top of the hill, you have Dani Baba temple, Siddhababa temple, Kali Mata temple, Hanuman ji temple and Maa Vaishno Devi temple, and Bhairav Baba temple as well. There is a good arrangement of electricity and water in the temple premises. You get flowers here to offer to Mata. Whereas we have to buy Prasad from a shop before the temple gate. People’s wishes are fulfilled in Vaishno Mata temple, here the Chunari of wishes can be seen tied at the temple gate and on the surrounding trees.
Vaishno Mata temple is located at a distance of 8 km from Shahnagar tehsil, 2.5 km from Karondiya village, 3 km from Puraina village, 16 km from Katni district.
Vaishno Mata Mandir is very crowded during Navratri and the surrounding scene looks like a fair. Every year a huge fair is organized here for several days on New Year.

वैष्णो माता मन्दिर शाहनगर तहसील के सुंगरहा नामक गांव के पास माता का ऊँची पहाडी पर भव्य मंदिर है। आप वैष्णो माता मन्दिर का दर्शन करने चाहते है तो आपको मंदिर के प्रवेश द्वार से 1 किलोमीटर तक का पैदल रास्ता है, पैदल रास्ते के चारो तरफ घने जंगल है।
जो सफर को रोमांच से भर देते है यह एक बेहतर पिकनिक स्पॉट भी है। माता वैष्णो मन्दिर के दर्शन करने के लिए लगभग 500 सीढ़िया चढ़नी पडती है। पैदल रास्ता तय करने के बाद कुछ सीढ़ियो की चढाई, फिर ढलान वाला पथरीला रास्ता है जहां आपको थोडी सबनिय से चलना होगा।
पूरा सफर आपको मे घने और शान्त जंगल से होकर गुजरना होगा, दलान वाला रास्ते के बाद सीदियो की ऊँची चढाई है, चढाई समाप्त करके उपर पहुंचने के बाद नीचे का नज़ारा देखते ही बनता है। पूरे घने जंगलो से घरी पहाडी के ‘उपर से नीचे देखने पर बहुत सुन्दर प्राकृतिक नजारा दिखता है ।
पहाड़ी के पास मे बहुत बड़ा तालाब है जो कि पहाडी से देखने पर किसी झील जैसा लगता है। यहां पर आप तरह-2 के फोटो भी खिचवा सकते है
पहाड़ी से नीचे दूर- दूर तक देखने पर आपको, धुंध जैसा लगता और आसपास के जंगल खेत और घर बहुत छोटे नजर आते है। माता वैष्णो देवी मंदिर की पहाड़ी अद्भुत प्राकृतिक सुन्दरता से परिपूर्ण है।
पहाड़ी के उपर आपको दानी बाबा मंदिर, सिद्धबाबा मंदिर, काली माता मंदिर, हनुमान जी का मंदिर और माँ वैष्णो देवी मंदिर, और भैरव बाबा का भी मंदिर है। मंदिर परिसर मे बिजली और पानी की अच्छी व्यवस्था है। माता को चढ़ाने के लिए आपको यहां फूल मिल जाता है। जबकि प्रसाद हमे मंदिर के द्वार से पहले हो की किसी दूकान से लेना पड़ता है वैष्णो माता के मंदिर मे लोगो की मन्नते पूरी होती है, यहां मंदिर, के द्वार पर और आसपास के पेड़ो पर मन्नत की चुनरी बन्धी हुई दिख जाती है।
वैष्णो माता मन्दिर शाहनगर तहसील से 8 किलोमीटर, करोंदिया गांव 2.5 किलोमीटर, पुरैना गांव 3 किलोमीटर, कटनी जिले से 16 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।
वैष्णो माता मन्दिर मे नवरात्र के समय बहुत भीड़भाड़ रहती है आसपास का नजारा मेले जैसा होता है। यहां हर साल नव वर्ष पर कई दिनो के लिए विशाल मेले का आयोजन किया जाता है।
