Rupnatheshwar Mahadev Temple is a holy religious place, Rupnath Dham. It is a historical place situated at the foothills of Kaimur mountain range of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh). The natural pool, the temple complex surrounded by hills, the caves of Bholenath, the inscriptions of Emperor Ashoka in the midst of all these, and a very picturesque view of the hills and waterfalls. Along with the center of the faith of the people, it is full of unique mysteries. Roopnath temple is a famous pilgrimage site of Hindus, where there are three lakes in the name of Ram, Lakshman and Sita.

The main attraction of this religious place is the God present here. Shiva's Punch is Shivling. Rupnath Dham is religious as well as full of natural beauty. One of the major tourist destination of Madhya Pradesh, this place is very beautiful and serene. Here all the three pools are built on top of each other. The specialty of these kunds is that they keep clean water for 12 months. The lowest pool is known as Lakshman Kund, the Sita Kund in the middle and the upper part of the mountain is known as Ram Kund. There are big rocks here, over which the waterfall flows.

Water from the springs comes into the pool. A dam is also seen on the hill above the Rupnath temple. Where the huge pond also looks very beautiful to see. The first temple on entering the temple premises is of Hanuman ji. There is another temple nearby in which Lord Bholenath is present along with Mata Parvati, in the upper part of the temple there is a temple of Ram Lakshman, Sita Mata. At the top, there is a beautiful statue of Radha. On seeing the wonderful view of the temple complex from the upper part of the temple, there is a feeling of joy.

Along with a beautiful garden, an ancient well is also located in the temple premises. History of Rupnath Temple = Rupnath is an ancient temple. It is said that in ancient times when a demon named Bhasmasura ran after Lord Bholenath to consume him. Then Lord Shiva went to Bandakpur from this cave to save his life. People say that the path of this cave used to go till Bandakpur, but it is said that only after the beginning of Kali Yuga, this path was closed due to the slipping of stones.

The distance from Rupnath to Bandakpur via this cave is 15 kilometers. The inscription is also installed.

How to reach:- By Air - Jabalpur is the nearest airport.
Train Route - Katni is the main nearest railway station of the district. Katni Junction Station.
Roopnath Dham is located in Katni district. Katni district is a district of Madhya Pradesh. This pilgrimage site is located at a distance of 70 km from Jabalpur. Rupnath Dham, located at a distance of about 60 km from Katni district, is located at a distance of 4 km from Sindursi, a small village near Bahoriband tehsil of Katni district.

Center of attraction:- A week long fair is organized in Roopnath Dham from 14th January. This fair is the center of attraction of the people. People come here from far and wide. Here people come from far away to see Lord Bholenath on Sawan Monday. You get to see a small hotel outside the Rupnath temple. You can have tea and breakfast here. Hot maize stalls are held here during the rainy season. The temple courtyard looks very nice from outside.

Beliefs :- 1) It is said that when the procession of Lord Bholenath stayed here, at the same time all the three pools were constructed.
2) - Whom Lord Shiva named the kund after his adorable god Ram Lakshman and Sita Mata. According to a belief, Lord Bholenath used to go from here to take bath in Katav Dham located in Majhauli.
3) - When Ramchandra ji had come to exile for 14 years, this pool was constructed for bathing.

There is a Shivling inside the temple located in Rupnath Dham which is said to be Swayambhu. According to the priests of Rupnath Dham, it is believed that God has gone from here to Jageshwar Dham, Bandakpur. People from many districts reach Rupnath Dham, situated in the lap of nature. Along with being religious, this place is full of natural beauty.

रुपनाथेशवर महादेव मंदिर एक पवित्र धार्मिक स्थल है, रुपनाथ धाम Madhya Pradesh (मध्य प्रदेश) के जबलपुर की कैमूर पर्वत श्रृंखला की तलहटी में स्थित ऐतिहासिक स्थल है। प्राकृतिक कुंड , पहाड़ियों से घिरा मंदिर परिसर , गुफा में विराजे भोलेनाथ, इन सभी के बीच में सम्राट अशोक का शिलालेख, और पहाड़ियों और झरनो का बहुत ही मनोरम दृश्य है। लोगो की आस्था का केंद्र के साथ साथ अनूठे रहस्यों से भरा है। रूपनाथ मंदिर हिन्दुओ का प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल है ,जहाँ राम लक्छमन तथा सीता के नाम पर तीन सरोवर बने हुए है।

इस धार्मिक स्थल का मुख्य आकर्षण यहाँ मौजूद भगवान शिव के पच शिवलिंग है | रुपनाथ धाम धार्मिक होने के साथ साथ प्राकृतिक खूबसूरती से भरी हुई है | मध्य प्रदेश के प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थल में से एक ,यह जगह बहुत सुन्दर और शांत है| यहाँ तीनो कुंड एक दूसरे के ऊपर बने हुए है | इन कुंड की विशेषता यह है की इनमे १२ महीने साफ पानी भरा रहता है | सबसे निचले कुंड को लक्छ्मण कुंड ,मध्य में स्थित सीता कुंड और पहाड़ के ऊपरी हिस्से को राम कुंड के नाम से जाना जाता है | यहाँ बड़ी बड़ी चट्टानें है ,जिनके ऊपर से झरना बहता है।

झरनो का पानी कुंड में आता है। रुपनाथ मंदिर के ऊपर पहाड़ी पर एक बांध भी देखने को मिलता है। जहा विशाल तालाब भी देखने में अतयंत सुन्दर लगता है। मंदिर परिसर में प्रवेश करने पर पहला मंदिर हनुमान जी का है। पास ही दूसरे मंदिर है जिसमे भगवान भोलेनाथ , माता पार्वती के साथ विद्यमान है, मंदिर के ऊपरी हिस्से में राम लक्छमण ,सीता माता का मंदिर मौजूद है। सबसे ऊपरी हिस्से में राधा की सुन्दर प्रतिमा विराजमान है। मंदिर के ऊपरी हिस्से से मंदिर परिसर का अद्भुत नजारा देखते ही आंनद की अनुभूति होती है।

मंदिर परिसर में सुन्दर से बगीचे के साथ साथ प्राचीन कुआ भी स्थित है। रुपनाथ मंदिर का इतिहास = रुपनाथ एक प्राचीन मंदिर है। कहा जाता है की प्राचीन समय में जब भस्मासुर नामक राक्छस भगवान भोलेनाथ को भस्म करने के लिए उनके पीछे भागा था। तब भोलेनाथ ने अपनी जान बचने के लिए भगवान शिव इसी गुफा से बांदकपुर गए थे। लोगो का कहना है की इस गुफा का रास्ता कभी बांदकपुर तक जाता था ,लेकिन कहते है की कलयुग के शुरू होने के बाद ही पत्थरो के खिसकने से ये रास्ता बंद हो गया।
इस गुफा के रास्तें रुपनाथ से बांदकपुर तक की दुरी १५ किलोमीटर है। "कहा जाता है की २३२ ईसा पूर्व तक शक्तिशाली मौर्य वंश के सम्राट अशोक , इस जिले के छोटे से नगर बहोरीबंद के समीप रुपनाथ धाम में रुके थे , सम्राट अशोक बौद्ध धर्म के प्रचार प्रसार के लिए यहाँ पर आये थे मंदिर परिसर में सम्राट अशोक का शिलालेख भी स्थापित है।

कैसे पहुंचे :- हवाई मार्ग -जबलपुर निकटतम एयरपोर्ट है।
ट्रेन मार्ग - कटनी जिले के तीन मुख्य निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन है। कटनी जंक्शन , कटनी मुड़वारा एवं कटनी साउथ रेलवे स्टेशन।
रूपनाथ धाम कटनी जिले में स्थित है। कटनी जिला मध्य प्रदेश का एक जिला है। यह तीर्थ स्थल जबलपुर से ७० किलोमीटर की दुरी पर स्थित है कटनी जिले से लगभग ६० किलोमीटर की दुरी पर स्थित रुपनाथ धाम कटनी जिले का बहोरीबंद तहसील के पास एक छोटा सा गाव सिंदुरसी से ४ किलोमीटर की दुरी पर स्थित है

आकर्षण का केंद्र :- रूपनाथ धाम में १४ जनवरी से एक सप्ताह का मेला लगता है। यह मेला लोगो के आकर्षण का केंद्र है। यहाँ पर दूर दूर से लोग आते है। यहाँ सावन सोमवार को भगवान भोलेनाथ के दर्शन के लिए लोग बहुत दूर से आते है। रुपनाथ मंदिर के बाहर आपको छोटा सा होटल देखने को मिल जाते है। आप यहाँ चाय नाश्ता कर सकते है। बरसात के महीने में यहाँ गरमा गरम मक्के के ठेले लगते है। बाहर से मंदिर प्रांगढ़ बहुत ही अच्छा लगता है

मान्यताये :-१) कहा जाता है की जब भगवान भोलेनाथ की बारात यहाँ रुकी थी ,उसी समय तीनो कुंडो का निर्माण कराया गया था। जिन्हे भगवान शिव ने अपने आराध्य देव राम लक्छमण और सीता माता के नाम पर कुंड का नाम रखा था।
२)-एक मान्यता के अनुसार भगवान भोलेनाथ यहाँ से मझौली में स्थित कटाव धाम में स्नान करने जाया करते थे।
३) -जब रामचंद्र जी १४ वर्ष के लिए वनवास आये थे तो स्नान के लिए इस कुंड का निर्माण कराया था।

रुपनाथ धाम में स्थित मंदिर के अंदर एक शिवलिंग है जिसे स्वयंभू बताया जाता है। रुपनाथ धाम के पुजारियों के अनुसार ,यहाँ की ये मान्यता है की जागेश्वर धाम बांदकपुर के लिए भगवान यही से गए है। प्रकृति के गोद में बसे रुपनाथ धाम में कई जिलों से लोग पहुंचते है। यह जगह धार्मिक होने के साथ साथ प्राकृतिक खूबसूरती से भरी हुई है।

• यहां पर तीन कुंड स्थित है जिनके नाम राम कुंड, सीता कुंड और लक्ष्मण कुंड है।
• रूपनाथ धाम में आपको सम्राट अशोक का प्राचीन शिलालेख देखने मिल जाएगी।
• यहां पर एक विशाल तालाब है।
• इस स्थल पर भगवान शिव का प्राचीन मंदिर और गुफा है।
• रूपनाथ धाम में आपको बरसात के समय एक खूबसूरत झरना देखने मिलेगा, जो बहुत खूबसूरत होता है।
• इस स्थल पर आपको एक बांध देखने मिलेगा।
• यहां पर आप उची उची चटटानें भी देख सकते है जिनका व्यू बहुत बढिया होता है।
• यहां पर 14 जनवरी को मेले का आयोजन होता है, जहां पर दूर दूर से लोग आते है।
